Rebecca Alkire Santos, MD, is a compassionate, board-certified general pediatrician dedicated to providing comprehensive, preventive pediatric care for infants, children, and adolescents. Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), Dr. Santos is committed to helping families at Virginia Pediatric Group, with offices in Fairfax, Herndon, Great Falls, and Aldie, Virginia.

Born in Winchester, Virginia, and raised in West Virginia, Dr. Santos graduated summa cum laude from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences. She earned her medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Inova Children’s Hospital. Before joining Virginia Pediatric Group, she spent 14 years in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she helped establish and lead a successful pediatric practice.

Dr. Santos believes that listening closely to children and their families is one of the most important parts of pediatric care. She partners with parents to create personalized, evidence-based care plans focused on prevention, growth, development, and overall wellness. Her approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and centered on meeting each family where they are.

Outside the office, Dr. Santos enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, cheering on Mountaineer football, and making memories with her family and friends.
