Our Practice

Welcome to Virginia Pediatric Group

It is a great privilege to have the opportunity to work with children and their families.  Virginia Pediatric Group has been providing family-centered care to children from birth to young adulthood in Northern Virginia since 1982.  Our goal is to help our patients achieve their optimal physical and emotional health so that they can live happy, healthy and productive lives. We consider the whole child and emphasize the importance of nutritional, developmental, educational, and psychological factors on health and well-being. We would like families to feel confident that their pediatricians have up to date knowledge, have a responsive and accessible office, and can help them through all of the various aspects of raising children.

Our physicians are Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and strive to provide consistent, compassionate, and up-to-date medical care.  Several physicians on our staff have academic teaching appointments in the region (Georgetown University, Virgina Commonwealth University, University of Virginia, and George Washington University) ensuring our doctors are always knowledgeable about recent advancements and practices. Our team of clinicians are also recognized to be among the best pediatricians in the Washington D.C. area by Washington Magazine, Washington Families Magazine, and Washington Consumer Checkbook.  Our support staff of nurses, medical assistants, lab technicians, and administrative assistants have many years of professional experience and work hard to make your experience with Virginia Pediatric Group as comfortable as possible.

Our group offers a variety of services, some of which include: pediatric wellness and sick visits, sports physicals, travel exams, immunizations, laboratory services, lactation services, psychological services, educational testing services, neuropsychological testing services,  ADHD management, and hospital care services. We strongly support breastfeeding during infancy and vaccination throughout childhood into adulthood as a means of health promotion and disease prevention.  At our office visits, we closely follow the growth and development of infants, children, and adolescents and provide evidence-based information on a broad range of pediatric health and disease concerns. We are always available to your family for advice and care at the most momentous times from birth to the rare event your child may be hospitalized, as our practitioners provide newborn care services at Reston Hospital Center, Inova Fair Oaks Hospital and newborn and inpatient services at Inova Children's Hospital.

Our comprehensive approach to care is based upon the Patient-Centered Medical Home (read about PCMH here), where our goal is for our patients to receive the best in timely, pediatric, value-based care and treatment. We will also ensure that the follow-up on problems is appropriate and efficient.  We work closely with the most highly respected and expert pediatric specialists in our area and are there when your child needs help at any time, day or night.

Being a parent is a wonderfully important, yet sometimes difficult responsibility.  We all would like the best for our children and the world in which they grow up.  There are many decisions that we have to make that can affect their health and welfare.   Your pediatricians at Virginia Pediatric Group hope that you can rely on us for guidance and would like to be your trusted resource.

In our ongoing effort to improve the quality of our patient care, we are conducting patient experience surveys. This survey, handled by the Press Ganey company, will ask a series of brief questions about your visit. You should receive an email survey invitation shortly after an appointment at any of our offices. We would love to hear from you! Thank you.
