Our daughter was feeling really sick, and we had no idea that our regular pediatrician's office had closed as of 01/31/2025. We were stressed and scrambling to find a same-day appointment somewhere nearby. A close family member recommended VAPG, and I'm so glad they did. From the moment we called, the staff was incredibly kind, understanding, and responsive. We explained the situation, and they worked us in for a same-day appointment with Dr. Rubio. Dr. Rubio was wonderful—knowledgeable, patient, and so good with our daughter. He made us feel comfortable and confident that she was in good hands. By the end of the visit, we felt a huge sense of relief and comfort knowing we had found a new place we could trust with our children’s care. Motherhood/parenting can be hard AND sometimes you just need to feel like you have backup. Dr. Rubio and his team is that back-up! He and his staff and absolutely wonderful. Yes, of course they are great when you kids are sick but it is the beyond that I am speaking about. The times you just need advice or a listening and educated ear on your child's behavior patterns or growth challenges. Dr. Rubio is efficient but you never feel rushed. He is kind and extreme knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone! We feel blessed that the VPG team is there for us for sick and well visits.

Dr. Rubio is hands down the BEST pediatrician we have ever had. There are many doctors at VPG (we had seen some in multiple locations previously) but Dr. Rubio is the absolute best, he is so knowledgeable, caring and kind (amazing bedside manner) I drive 45min each time to take my kids to him even though there are other VPG locations 10min away from me (that should be explanation enough). Never once had we left his office with a single question unanswered or feeling like our concerns were not addressed. He is very thorough and again extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend him.

Besides a well check and physical for school/ sports your child is basically sick. The staff at VPG (Aldie) has always been pleasant, attentive and respectful from start to leaving the office. We saw her because my Son had a Strep Throat and while we were waiting for the swab results to come back she patiently explained my 11yr old Son with drawings on what the action plan would be take if it turns out viral/bacterial. The smile she has on her face, the gentle language she used when she sees the kids everything is just so comforting. We are grateful to be seen by her.

My son came in due to a sore throat. After taking some his weight, the nurse was on it and took a swab sample from his throat, so the test was already running while we waited and saw Dr. Kuruvilla. Dr. Kuruvilla was very attentive and made sure i wasn't speaking for my son on everything he was feeling. She made him feel very comfortable immediately that he wasn't too shy like he usually is. They were a very efficient team!

Ms. Eickhoff always does a fantastic job when I take my kids in. She is thorough, kind, and has a wonderful demeanor with my kids (it’s always difficult to get 3 year olds to cooperate with anything, let alone an exam when they are sick!) As a healthcare provider myself, she is always able to communicate with me in a clear and concise manner. She’s truly an asset to the practice.
