Well Child Visits

Our routine screenings for growth, development, vision, hearing, and laboratory are provided at the appropriate intervals as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Checkups (well visits) are scheduled for the newborn, at 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 24, 30, and 36 months and yearly thereafter.  Checkups are a time where we can monitor the health, growth, and development of your child.  It is also the time when most immunizations are given.  Hearing screening includes real tone audiometry. Vision screening includes Pediavision automated vision assessment which can be used on babies starting at 6 months of age.

If you have a child with complex medical issues or in situation where there are new concerns or behavioral issues that will likely require additional time at the checkup, please let us know when you make the appointment.  Checkups are scheduled for 20 minutes, and we can schedule a second appointment slot for the extra time to address your additional concerns. This appointment time will be billed to your insurance and may require a co-pay.  Scheduling in this way gives you the opportunity to get the best care possible at the time of your well visit and helps us stay on schedule. Our clinician schedules are generally open three months in advance.

**NOTE** While the phones open at 7 am for appointments, we reserve 7 am to 9 am for sick visits only. If calling to schedule well checks, vaccine appointments, and anything other than a sick, please wait to call after 9 am. Thank you.
