Quote: I started my professional career as an Exercise Physiologist at Johns Hopkins Francis Scott Key Medical center. I then worked as a Nutrition Research Analyst in Industry. While working, I applied and was accepted to George Washington University’s Physician Assistant Program where I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1997.

I have worked as a certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Pediatrics for more than 14 years. My first 13 ¾ years as a PA was with Kaiser Permanente, which included both office and hospital experience. The later provided me with a very in-depth knowledge of newborns. During this time I was given plenty of practical experience by my own three children, who continue to provide interesting challenges. I joined Virginia Pediatric Group in July 2011. My favorite part of practicing as a PA is when your baby smiles at me. A close second is when your teenager sees me for the second and subsequent times (because they were satisfied with the first treatment). My strength as a PA is treating infections disease. The challenge here is to not only effectively treat the patient, but to successfully avoid the germ myself. I am also a Certified Nutrition Specialist. I am happy to give dietary advice and help you with your breast feeding challenges. My training in Sports Medicine has proven to be very helpful when treating injuries in young athletes. I can also provide you with ideas on how to get the whole family moving and into great physical condition.

I have a passion for knowledge in the area of neurodevelopmental disorders and will seek to understand your challenging child. I will help advise you on the steps that you may need to take in order to get the help that your child needs.
