Karen O'Hara was born and raised in Virginia. She studied Biochemistry at Virginia Institute of Technology and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a Pediatric Focus at George Mason University. She then completed her Master of Science in Nursing-Pediatric Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of Maryland. Prior to joining VPG in 2008, she practiced Pediatrics at Stanford University-affiliated Lucille Packard Children's Hospital. She is a nationally-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and has been practicing Pediatrics for over a decade in the Fairfax VA area. Karen is a devoted PNP who focuses on empowering and educating parents to be their child's best advocate. She focuses strongly on preventive medicine and the safety of children. She adores children and dedicates her lifelong career to making children healthier and live better lives. She resides in Alexandria, VA with her three children.
